From its beginnings in 1948, the goal of the Clallam County Historical Society has been to preserve and to interpret for the community the historical record of Clallam County and the people who shaped its development.

We operate from several locations in Port Angeles, Washington. Lincoln School houses our artifact storage, administrative offices, research library, and Clallam County Genealogical Society library. Our documentary collection includes 10,000 photographs; books; manuscripts; maps; newspapers; and vertical file material. The artifact collection covers all aspects of Clallam County’s history.

The Museum at the Carnegie and the Federal Building in Port Angeles offer a glimpse of the County’s history through permanent and temporary exhibits.
