As we move along this journey, we create a legacy of excellence. It is seen in the daily interaction with our students and employees. It is the individual success generated by people who care about the dignity of each child and each other. It is found in the success of the building of character. And foremost, it is found when our young people learn. Learning is the heart and soul of what we do. Learning breaks down the barriers of apathy, fear, stagnation, and builds innovation, empathy, and security. Learning provides hope for the future teaching us that new ideas solve problems, that hard work achieves results, and that change is safe

This journey to create the organization where all children learn at high levels is in itself a learning experience for us all. The tradition of excellence that we have created is our impetus for future challenges. "High Levels of Expectations" continue to change. Similar to the medical model, wellness and life expectancy have new meaning on an annual basis due to research, application, and improved services. That is the same challenge and exciting journey for educators. High expectations get higher as people learn more. In economics we talk about limited resources and the competition for those resources. Education is impacted by the limits of resources fiscal, time, and belief, but learning has no limits. Organizations and the people in those organizations who understand the concept of unlimited opportunity are the ones who seize the day. This is what makes Clarke County Schools one of the best; it is that vision and the strength to follow that vision.
