Connecticut Film Festival

Bethel Public Library – Community Room, 189 Greenwood Ave

About Us:

The Connecticut Film Festival returns to the scene of the crime September 26th . Back to where it all began in Bethel CT when it was originally called The Bethel Film Festival in 2005. The 1 day September festival will play host to a group of thought provoking film events that are all FREE!

“Coming full circle and returning to CTFF’s birth place for the FREE one day event (CTFF screens indie films on the 3rd Wed of every month at The Bethel Cinema) will be lots of fun. Bethel is a wonderful, charming community where you can see a film, then walk a very short distance to catch a bite at dozens of restaurants and pubs, then do a bit of shopping at any number of wonderful boutiques, and then get back in time to catch the next movie or workshop” says CTFF Exec Director Tom Carruthers.

The Connecticut Film Festival is unique in its format. CTFF hosts multiple weekend festivals and a monthly film series in numerous cities and towns throughout the state in an effort to bring great independent films to everyone. The regional CTFF Bethel Film Festival has been held in Danbury for the previous 5 years. When the director was unable to secure the venues needed for the 2013 festival, he decided to move it back to the scene of the crime, where it all began.

This year’s festival will feature an international array of film selections as well as a number of features and shorts produced right here in Connecticut. Venues and the schedule are in the process of being finalized.
