History
Coronado High School opened in 1961 as a public comprehensive High School, grades 9-12, with emphasis on college preparatory and vocational/technical curriculums. Outstanding fine arts offerings as well as a rigorous academic curriculum have a long history at Coronado.
Coronado High School is strongly committed to providing quality programs that will result in quality learning. Students & parents are involved in the school decision making process because we believe they should be included in decisions affecting them.
Coronado students have access to the East Valley Institute of Technology which offers a wide range of vocational/technical courses. A most effective Learning Resource Center and Life Skills Center meets the needs of students with learning disabilities and special needs. Advanced and Advanced Placement courses are offered in English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. There is a strong commitment by the faculty to the use of state-of-the-art technology to enhance the quality of instruction and learning.
