About Us:
In 1977, the Gebauer family moved to what is now Country Heritage Farm. We moved here for the rural farming area and the work ethic this way of life instills. The farm name, Country Heritage Farm, was chosen to remind us of this. The entire family was involved in the care and raising of cows, pigs, chickens, and other farm animals. However, like all families, the children grew older and moved on to other endeavors. It was at this time that we made the decision to begin planting Christmas Trees, a form of agriculture that Barry and Virginia Gebauer could manage year-round with seasonal help from sons, daughters, and grandchildren.
Planting began in 1990 and in 1999 we opened for the first time. With each passing year and input from the entire family, we have added to the experience and made improvements, such as a gift shop, snack shack, outdoor fireplace, children's play area, and hayrides. In 2005, word had spread of the family atmosphere and tree selection, and unfortunately we over sold our plantings. With much regret, Country Heritage closed for 2 years to allow the trees to mature and replenish. In 2008 we reopened with trees ready to fill your homes with the spirit of Christmas. In 2009, we had our best selection and we have been planting over 1000 trees each year to ensure that everyone finds that special tree in years to come.
The Gebauer family has been blessed with the most wonderful parents, children, and grandchildren. Each and every one of us would like to share and enjoy the spirit of the season for just a few hours while you visit and choose your tree. So take your time, enjoy this memorable experience with your family.
