The DD Network will host a free IDEA Training for the Monticello and surrounding school districts.  The training will be held at the University of Arkansas at Monticello in the Capitol Room on September 22, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  The training will provide information regarding referral placement, IDEA-the new regulations, development of the IEP, mediation, and resources in your community.  Representatives from the Disability Rights Center, Partners for Inclusive Communities, Dept. of Ed, Special Ed., UALR Bowen School of Law, and the Arkansas Governor's Developmental Disabilities Council will participate.  Mileage reimbursement for parents residing more than 10 miles from the training site is available.  Lunch will be provided.  Registration is required and limited.  Contact Brenda Mercer at 501.280.4608 or email [email protected] for additional information.
