About Us

Dover Avenue Elementary School strives to provide our students in Kindergarten through Grade 5 with a quality education. This endeavor is combined with the cooperation, commitment and support of parents, students and staff all working together as one cohesive group. In addition to the enrichment provided daily by our classroom teachers, our staff also provides reading intervention, speech/language services, a special education program, art, physical education and vocal music.

Dover Avenue PTG is a vital segment of our school, providing much to our students through their commitment and involvement. Their diligent efforts provide assemblies, special projects and monetary funds which are utilized to purchase and provide many "extras" for our students.

In addition to the fine learning environment provided throughout the day, extracurricular activities include After School Study Club, Achievement Intervention Sessions, Sign Language Club, Just Say No Club, Band and Orchestra for fifth graders, Book Bunch and Student Council.

Our teaching staff is committed to the education of our students while also providing an environment in which students flourish emotionally and socially as well.

When students are challenged as individuals and praised for their efforts and accomplishment, they come to know the true joy of learning. Thus our motto:"Dover Avenue - A Great Place To Learn"
