The wool and mohair center of Texas. Rocksprings is a small busy town at the western edge of the Texas Hill Country. It is the county seat and the only incorporated town in Edwards County. It is south of I-10 on state highway 377, forty-eight miles south of Junction Texas. The Devil's Sinkhole is located eight miles northeast of town on former ranchland now owned by Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. The area is designated the Devil's Sinkhole State Natural Area. Public access is limited to the approved tours or in the company of a Park Ranger.
