The English Consul Volunteer Fire Departments is a 100% All volunteer department serving a population of approximately 2000 citizens of Baltimore County. We are located in Southwestern Baltimore County, and serve a primarily residential district with a few industrial locations and a few interstate highways. On the average we respond to 800 EMS call per year, and 600 fire suppression call per year. We have been existence since 1944. We house 2 engines, 1 ALS medic unit, 1 brush unit, 2 utility vehicles, and coming in the spring of 2002, we will be operating a marine division for open water rescue! We are currently recruiting interested individuals to join our family. Free training offered both at the company level and through the Baltimore County Fire Service career side.

We are one of 33 volunteer fire companies in Baltimore County. We have 61 active memers on our roster. More than 75% of all active members are cross trained in both fire suppression and emergency medical services. Oue members certifications range from Maryland 1st Responder to Nationally Registered Paramedic, from probationary firefighter trainess to NFPA compliant fire offeres. Our members train twoce weekly in both fire and ems scenarios.
