Fairview is one of ten schools in the Greenfield Union School District. Fairview was built in 1954 and is located in a rural area at the southern edge of Kern County. Currently Fairview has 504 students enrolled in 24 regular self-contained classrooms, kindergarten through fifth grade, two Special Day classes, and one severely handicapped county class. Fairview is a Title I school with a diverse population. 93% of the students receive a free or reduced lunch and 32% of Fairview’s population is considered Second Language Learners (STAR Data). Fairview’s resource personnel includes a full-time Resource Specialist, an Academic Coach, two part-time Reading/math Assistants, and a Bilingual Assistant. Fairview School is in session 180 days.
