In 2000, Cecil Campbell, Steve Athey, and Sam Johnson formed Warrenton Fauquier Community Baseball, Inc. A 501C-3 non-profit foundation devoted to promoting and furthering baseball in Fauquier County, Warrenton Fauquier Community Baseball has been very active in the community. In 2000 Warrenton Fauquier Community Baseball formed the Fauquier Gators as the most visible form of the organization, participating in the prestigious Clark Griffith Baseball League. The Gators have been very successful in promoting the values of Warrenton Fauquier Community Baseball in Fauquier County.

In addition to the success on the field, Warrenton Fauquier Community Baseball has been very successful in fundraising and gift giving endeavors to help baseball in the county. Based on generous contributions from a number of sponsors, the organization was able to donate to the Fauquier High School baseball team a radar gun and a monetary gift of $2000 to help purchase a tarp to cover the field.
