Our History :

After due consideration it being the desire of a number of Brethren and Sisters in and around Grapeland, it was decided expedient to proceed to the organization of a Baptist Church in the town of Grapeland." Thus was the beginning of First Baptist Church, as three ministers from the Neches River Baptist Association, and one from the Cherokee Association, accepted the letter of our three charter members during a meeting held on August 14, 1891.
