What We Believe

We believe in God, the Father, as the Creator and Sustainer of life. God is holy and worthy of our praise, worship, and commitment.

We believe that Jesus is our Savior and Lord. He is the only begotten Son of God. Jesus died for the sins of humanity, was buried, and was resurrected on the third day. It is by God’s grace, through faith in Jesus, that people are saved.

We believe in the Holy Spirit. At salvation, God places his Spirit in the life of each believer.

We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the authority for faith and life.

We believe in the priesthood of all believers. Every person can approach God directly, through Christ, without the aid of human priests.

We believe in believer’s baptism. Baptism is only for believers and the mode is immersion, as is taught in the New Testament.

We believe in the autonomy of the local church. Each local congregation is self-governing, choosing its own pastors and managing its own affairs.

We believe in the Great Commission and take seriously the call to evangelize the world, sharing the Good News of Jesus with all people.
