About Us:

We are a faith community who welcomes seekers, values diversity and finds unity in our common commitment to Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.” These words found in the Bible in the 15th chapter of John, are our one central focus. That love is not just for those inside our gathering but for everyone around the world.

We practice radical welcome. First Christian Church is part of the Disciples of Christ in the United States and Canada. We identify our calling with these words, “We are disciples (followers) of Christ, a movement for wholeness in a fragmented world. As part of the one body of Christ, we welcome all to the Lord’s Table as God has welcomed us.” Whoever you are, young or old, straight or LGBT, you are welcome here. The teachings of Jesus direct you out and into the world, which is why we are active partners with Habitat for Humanity, two local food banks, and sponsor two service/mission trips each year.
