Missison:

First Lutheran Church is a fellowship of believers in Jesus Christ that has vision for ministry. We are known as the "Friendliest Church in Town." We live up to our reputation not only on Sunday mornings, but also in our caring for others during the week.

Ministry at First Lutheran Church lies in the hands of the "Royal Priesthood" of all believers. Our mission is very simply stated: "To Receive and Share Christ's Embrace."

First, this means that God has given us all a great big hug of approval, calling us His forgiven children through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus invites us to "Come unto Me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest" (Matthew 11:28).

Secondly, our gratitude compels us to let others know how good it feels to be hugged or forgiven by God. Since we are all blessed with many God-given gifts and talents, we discover ministries that are best suited to each individual. Our desire is to embrace and love our friends into the hands of our gracious God.

First Lutheran is a church on the "go" and on the "grow" for the Kingdom of God.
