Fleetwood School is home to 359 students in Grades K-4, and 65 staff members each school day.Parents and other community members are actively involved as volunteers in the school, providing assistance in many areas. Volunteers can be found reading to students, working in the library or sharing their culture, life experience and careers. It takes many volunteers to help at special school events such as Physical Fitness Day, Field Day and Book Fairs. Our annual Grandparent/Special Person Day is enjoyed by students and grandparents alike and provides another opportunity for community involvement as we provide our students with exposure and understanding for everyone in their community
Our students are encouraged to become actively involved in all aspects of their school. The third and fourth grade Friday Friends work every Friday to read and participate in other activities with their kindergarten friends. Fourth grade students also serve as “bus buddies” by assisting kindergarten students in getting safely to their buses. Our third and fourth grade Student Council members help resolve issues, plan monthly Spirit Days and serve as ambassadors during Grandparents Day and other parent visitation days.
Fleetwood School’s Physical Education Program has been hailed by the National Association for Sports and Physical Education as a Level 1 Stars School
