FLAG is a U.S.-based nonprofit international exchange organization proud of its 25-year history of successfully managing the responsibilities of being a U.S. State Department designated sponsor. Since 1989, FLAG has been dedicated to providing high quality international exchange experiences that transform the lives of high school students, host families and communities throughout the world. More than 5,000 students and families have been touched by FLAG throughout the years.
FLAG has achieved 100% compliance with all rules and regulations governing student exchange and has been awarded FULL status by the Council on Standards for International Educational Travel (CSIET).
FLAG supports J1 international exchange through three program divisions: FLAGship, FLAG Beyond Programs, and Sponsored Programs. FLAG was founded upon the J-1 FLAGship Program that serves students from 25+ countries around the world. FLAGship's excellence in exchange caught the attention of the U.S. State Department who recently selected FLAG to administer four of its most prestigious merit-based international exchange scholarship programs, thereby creating FLAG Sponsored Programs which currently administers the ASMYLE, CBYX, FLEX and YES programs. The FLAG Beyond Programs were created for F-1 students who desire extended stays or private school options.
