About Us:
Located in the heart of Old Town Ridgefield, we are an integral part of our community. Readers enjoy books on a wide range of topics for all reading levels. Audio cassettes and books on CD are popular with commuters. We also offer non fiction videos.
Our public access computers are available for use free of charge. You can research information on the Internet or type your resume or report using Microsoft Works suite. In addition, children will have fun working with our interactive Story Station.
We offer programs for the entire family. Join our book discussion group, attend story time with your child, or come to an Inquiring Mind, Lewis and Clark or poetry event.
Ridgefield is a close knit community. Everyone in town gets involved in annual community wide events and the library is no exception. From Independence Day to Heritage Day to the annual Hometown Celebration in December, these festivities often draw upwards of 10,000 people from other areas. We always have a good time with the many activities scattered about town, including parades, street dances, salmon bakes, chalk drawing, fireworks, musical entertainment, holiday bazaars, tree lighting ceremonies and much more.
