The objectives of the Society are:
To promote interest in the recording of family history . 
To provide education and assistance to others in the  techniques and study methods for genealogical research and recording.
To collect and preserve family histories
To maintain a research library and an archival depository
To preserve, index, study, and publish relevant documents.
To catalog all burials in the public and private cemeteries in Gillespie County.
