Georgia Family Council is dedicated to your family. We exist to strengthen Georgia's families by shaping laws, influencing public opinion and equipping leaders.

We are working with leaders throughout our state to prevent family breakdown…and its costly and devastating effects on the lives of children, adults, businesses and communities.

Family is important to us. It is the most basic of human communities, and the principle teacher of values. Research shows that family breakdown is the engine that drives our most troubling social problems, including crime, poverty, academic failure, divorce, out-of-wedlock pregnancies and teen suicide.

We will make a difference in many ways. Through our MarriageNet program, we are helping to reduce the divorce rate in Georgia. By partnering with church and lay leaders, we are able to equip them with the tools and training necessary to support marriage and create more stable communities.

We are promoting policies that affirm and reinforce family life by encouraging and equipping lawmakers throughout Georgia. We are also working closely with state and national groups to promote initiatives that move marriage to the center of American social policy.

Our research and media campaigns measure the economic costs of divorce and out-of-wedlock childbearing and continually serve as a voice for the family.
