The Festival has been changing and growing and has lited at Gary's Garden Center for our 2008 event! It's a "retro-evolution" to present the Broadway show BEATLEMANIE LIVE and others of a not so long ago musical era.

Conceived as "The 2004 Lake Oconee Jazz and Balloon Festival" the inaugural performances were hosted at then Port Armor - the original golf development on Lake Oconee. Originating sponsors Habersham Winery, Atlanta Magazine and WJZZ gave just the right boost for our regional marketing of the Festival. Highlights included the sunset lift off of a multitude of hot-air balloons and the strains of Diane Shur, Earl Klugh, Dotsero and the Brubeck Brothers. What a WOW as the sun set on Lake Oconee!

The 2005 Festival was moved over to a new development in Morgan County where Madison Lakes hosted arts and crafters along with the sounds of Kurt Elling, Corey Stevens and a return of Dotsero. In 2006 the magnificent oaks and wide open spaces rang when gospel and blues were added to the jazz format. Water features, boating and spectacular weather assured a good time was had by all.
