History
Founded in 1935, the Glencoe Historical Society is devoted to the collection, protection and preservation of items pertaining to the Village of Glencoe, its residents and its formal and informal institutions. While focused on Glencoe, Illinois, our collection also includes materials related to Glencoe, Scotland. In addition to presenting exhibits based on our collection, we also hold informational meetings and social events for residents and visitors.
We are a nonprofit organization supported through membership, contributions to capital and operating funds, and the sales of five books we wrote about Glencoe.
