The Glenside Fire Company is a 100% volunteer organization providing fire/rescue services for the communities of Glenside, Wyncote, Laverock and many other communities through mutual aid relationships. Servicing the largest fire district in Cheltenham Township, our district includes Arcadia University, several substantial apartment complexes and geriatric care facilities, commercial and light industrial structures and a handful of schools. The majority of our district is occupied by residential dwellings ranging from over 100 year old mansions designed by famed architect, Horace Trumbauer, to small sections of row houses.

We share our borders with the City of Philadelphia, Springfield Township, Abington Township, Jenkintown Borough and other Cheltenham fire companies’ districts. Several major roads pass through our district including Easton Road, Cheltenham Avenue, and the Route 309 Expressway.
