We are a gathering of people who have seen the mercy of God in the forgiveness of our sins through Jesus Christ. We gather together as a congregation to give thanks and praise to our God for His Love and Mercy.
The purpose of Grace Lutheran Church might be easily summarized in the "Great Commission" of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We have a goal here at Grace to return a "friendly visit" to those who have been our guest in worship. These visits are intended to be informal and non-threatening for all involved, and provide an opportunity to share the important points of our Christian faith. Our visits take place on Monday nights, and all are welcome to go out on behalf of the Church.
Grace Lutheran Church is a congregation of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS).The LCMS started in 1847 with 12 pastors serving 15 congregations in several midwestern states with headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. We have congregations in every state and carry out mission work in many foreign countries.
We are:
Christ-centered - we preach Jesus Christ, the crucified and risen Lord, the only Savior for all the people of the world. Through his perfect life, innocent suffering, and death, we have the forgiveness of sin. The blessings of his forgiveness benefit us through faith graciously worked in our hearts through the Holy Spirit.
Bible-believing - we teach that the Bible in its entirety is the true, inerrant, and inspired word of God. We believe the Bible is the only authority for Christian faith and life. We aim to share God's word in all its truth and purity.
Christian love and support: We as a church of believers in Christ's teachings provide each other and those we meet in our daily lives spiritual support, friendship, Christian counsel, and biblical direction. The people of our congregation care about other people?and that means you!
