Great River Medical Center is a regional medical center offering acute, skilled and intermediate care to residents of southeast Iowa, west-central Illinois and northeast Missouri. The hospital offers comprehensive medical and surgical services on an inpatient and outpatient basis.

Great River Medical Center is part of Great River Health Systems, a 378-bed regional, integrated health-care system that includes: retail pharmacies; retail medical equipment and supplies services; outpatient renal dialysis center; and a network of speciality and primary-care clinics located throughout the region.

Great River Medical Center's Emergency Department sees more than 27,000 patients a year and is staffed by nine board-certified physicians. Great River Medical Center is only the second hospital in the state of Iowa to have its emergency department staffed entirely by physicians who are board-certified in emergency medicine.

The hospital's Klein Center offers long-term nursing care in a parklike setting and features a special unit for patients with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of severe dementia. The Cancer Care Center, which provides radiation therapy services for the treatment of various forms of cancer, offers the latest IMRT linear accelerator and three-dimensional treatment-planning computer technology available in only a few health-care centers in the state. And the Center for Rehabilitation, one of the state's premier rehabilitation facilities, offers comprehensive outpatient services and fitness classes.

Great River Medical Center annually admits more than 6,000 patients and logs more than 180,000 outpatient procedures. More than 100 physicians and 1,600 employees share the hospital's commitment to excellence in patient care and customer service.
