In 1996, a small group of Argyle residents decided that Argyle, Texas needed a Chamber of Commerce to help develop their community and promote the Town of Argyle. After much discussion and planning, Articles of Incorporation were filed with the State of Texas on November 1, 1996, to form Argyle Chamber of Commerce, Inc. The organization has fluctuated in membership and activity over the years, depending upon the goals and commitment of the current Board of Directors. Today, the organization has evolved into a strong partnership of over 150 business owners and community residents and continues to grow daily with new members. In 2016, the Board of Directors voted to change our name to the Greater Argyle Chamber of Commerce, reflecting the changing demographics and the growth of the area. Our membership transcends arbitrary boundaries because of our strong commitment to supporting the community–our fund raisers are great events that raise money for our member non profits. We also offer scholarships to Argyle High School and Liberty Christian School graduating seniors each year.
