History:
Greensburg United Methodist Church was first organized as Greensburg Evangelical Church in 1829 and was located near the cemetery on Thursby Road. The church was moved to the village of Greensburg's town square shortly after 1855.
As the church grew, more space was needed and a new building was built (and then rebuilt after a fire) at 2200 Greensburg Road. The church became known as the Evangelical United Brethren Methodist and remained at that location until moving across the street to 2161 Greensburg Road in 1967.
Since moving to its current location, the name has been changed to Greensburg United Methodist Church and there have been two additions to the church, one in 1987 and the other in 2000.
