We are an educational society to help the community learn and experience the value of nature and herbs.

The Grosse Ile Herb Society maintains two gardens a Children's Discovery Garden which is located at the Grosse Ile Centennial Farm and an Historical Herb Garden located at the Grosse Ile Custom's House. Through the nurturing and development of these gardens we have created a "hands on" interactive outdoor classroom for children and adults of all ages.

In May we will host our 6th Annual Herb Fest this years theme is "Herbs de Provence" featuring a giant plant sale, with many activities including bake goods sale, herbal tastings, french market and cafe, specialty garden gifts exhibitors, children's activities and more. We also participate in many community and recreational events including Fall Harvest Days, Island Fest and many local educational and historical events.
