OUR MISSION
The mission of the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative is to prepare students with disabilities to be functional members of society by providing specialized programs, services and personnel in a learning environment that maximizes individual potential.
GOVERNANCE AND OPERATIONS
The provision of programs and services for children with disabilities is governed by the federal Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), the School Code of Illinois and regulations promulgated thereunder.
Policies and procedures, consistent with law, are approved and adopted by an Executive Board composed of superintendents of member districts and by a Governing Board composed of members of the boards of each of the member districts.
The Morris Community High School, District #101, serves as the administrative district and legal entity of the Grundy County Special Education Cooperative.
Programs and services are funded through a combination of tuition and administrative assessments paid by member districts and federal grants.
