History of Haynie Chapel

For over 165 years we have been serving God in Garfield, Texas located in southeastern Travis County. We have a long history, our Church originated about 1839 when Samuel G. Haynie moved to the area, and John Haynie established a Methodist Church. The congregation has survived over 165 years, with strong family ties to the church and community. We are also a Church focused on the future, excited about what God continues to do in this place.
