The Military Appreciation Club at Herkimer County Community College was formed in the Fall 2010 semester by club President, Lolly Winne. Advisor: Associate Professor of Radio-TV Broadcasting, Mrs. Mary Ann Carroll Co-Advisor: HCCC Registrar, Mr. Craig Dewan Mission: The club's mission statement is as follows: To instill an awareness among the students of HCCC, and within our community, of the tremendous sacrifices our local military and their families make for us every day. To provide a venue for anyone who'd like to help raise an awareness and show their appreciation by giving back to our local soldiers through various activities such as: sending care packages overseas, visiting VA hospitals to present care packages and recognition/appreciation awards, making Christmas happier for the children of fallen or deployed soldiers, and much more.
