Hidden Springs Tree Farm was established in the 1930's by Fred and Wanda Frank. It produced various crops including hay, wheat, and fruit.
In 1962 their only son, Fred Frank Jr. ("Freddie") graduated from Humboldt College with a degree in Forestry. He convinced his parents to start growing Christmas trees on a small section of the farm. The business expanded and now has ten acres of Christmas trees. The Tree Farm is operated by the third and fourth generations of the family.
Fred Frank and his wife Patricia, along with their children and grandchildren still work year round maintaining the farm. The Farm is a Christmas tradition enjoyed by generations of families from all over San Luis Obispo County and beyond.
