Reaching the World
They say great minds think alike! They also make for good partners in ministry. Over the years, the modern missions movement has taken many roads to reach out to those in the darkest corners of our world. Today, international partnerships are reaping tremendous results whether in the jungles of Africa or in our local neighborhoods.
In 2004, we began a new partnership with Campus Crusade for Christ and their Jesus film project in Tanzania, Africa. In villages throughout the island of Zanzibar a team sets up and shows the Jesus film. Zanzibar is 90% Muslim and very isolated from the outside world. The Jesus film is having a major impact for Christ. Highlands has supported The Jesus Film Project for many years. Today, the Jesus film can be seen in 928 languages!! Praise the Lord. God is using this dynamic ministry.
In Townsville, Australia a new church plant has begun under the leadership of Pastor Rabai. This is the first of 10 churches that our Pacific Region team would like to see planted through a partnership with Australian Indigenous Ministries.
Through an ongoing partnership with Bridge Builders International, our Europe Region team has begun a unique partnership in Latvia.

Purpose Statement
In obedience to the Great Commandment and the fulfillment of the Great Commission, the International Outreach Minsitry is committed to sending personnel and partnering with churches and agencies around the world to reach the lost, make disciples, and minister to human needs.
Objectives:
- Partner with churches and agencies in the planting of indigenous churches and the development of national church leaders
- Partner with churches and agencies in the sending of qualified missionaries
- Partner with churches and agencies to effectively respond to the needs of our current and growing missionary family
- Involve the congregation in international missions
