On August 8, 1892, the members of the Honey Brook Borough Council met at the school on the corner of Main and Walnut Streets. The purpose of this meeting was to take into consideration the formation of the Honey Brook Fire Company.
The continued support of the community is needed each year at the carnival, the quilt sale and with other fund raising projects. Many hours of work go into making the Fire Company the most active and essential organization in Honey Brook.
Honey Brook Fire Company proudly protects 15,000 people living in an area of about 38 square miles. Our department is a non-profit 503 (c) (3) corporation covered 100 % by volunteer firefighters and a combination of paid/volunteer EMS personnel for the ambulance service.
We average approx. 275 fire & accidents calls a year and 1000 EMS calls yearly. Our 1st due run consists of Honey Brook Borough & Honey Brook Township in Chester County and parts of Caernarvon & Salisbury Townships in Lancaster County.
