What: A 1- Mile Fun Walk-Run-N-Roll for the Transverse Myelitis Association (TMA). For people of all ages to walk, run or roll via wheelchair. Where:Sunday, October 6, 2013 10-11 a.m. Registration Start at 11 a.m. Followed by a Celebration in the Covered Pavilion. Why: To raise funds and awareness for people and families affected by rare neuro-immune diseases, including ADEM, ON, NMO, TM, and recurrent TM. These disorders occur when a person experiences an acute inflammatory attack in the spine, brain or optic nerve, causing disability and paralysis. These diseases affect children and adults at any age. The TMA supports academic clinical centers focused on rare neuroimmune disorders, clinical research symposia, education and quality of life camps for children and young adutls. We have reserved the large Picnic Pavilion adjacent to a 1.2 Mile Paved Path and a Playground with ADA-and -CPSC Compliant Play equipment. Everyone is invited to register, donate and spread the word.
