Since 1936, the McCook Lake Chapter of the Izaak Walton League (Ike's) has worked to protect the natural resources of McCook Lake and the Tri-State region, including Iowa and Nebraska, along with South Dakota.

Our mission is to conserve, maintain, protect and restore the soil, woodlands, water and other natural resources; to promote means and opportunities for the education of the public with respect to such resources and their enjoyment and wholesome utilization.
