About Us:
The Jerome County Historical Society was established in 1981. There is a public "Research Room" located at 212 East First Street next to the Post Office. Exhibits include North Side Irrigation Project, agricultural pictures and early town pictures, items of everyday life and households, school rooms, Japanese-American Relocation Camp Artifacts. Old history books, newspapers, ledgers, pictures, letters, law books, maps, archeological material, journals, books, Jerome County history books and other materials are available for study in this room during business hours: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, excluding Holidays.
Goals And Objectives Of The Jerome County Historical Society:
To bring together those people interested in Jerome County history.
To promote interest in, concern for, and appreciation of our heritage.
To investigate and preserve Jerome County memorabilia.
To establish a museum and oral history library concerning Jerome County.
