The Chamber became Accredited with the United States Chamber of Commerce in 1998 which means that this Chamber offers sound programs and organizational procedures, and that it reliably contributes to positive change in the community. Accreditation also means that the Chamber meets the required and reasonable standards as established and interpreted by recognized and experience professionals.

The objective of the Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce is to advance the economic base and enhance the quality of life of the Kerrville/Kerr County area.

We the Chamber wish to preserve the natural beauty and rich heritage of the Hill Country by encouraging responsible commerce and carefully managed growth, by promoting opportunities for all citizens and by leaving a proud legacy for future generations.

Kerrville has a number of assets that make it the perfect place to live, work and play. Starting with our location along Interstate 10, Kerrville has easy access to all parts of the Hill Country as well as the great State of Texas! A quick glance and you’ll realize that there is more to this town than meets the eye. A state of the art hospital providing regional health care as well as a veterans hospital that provides continuous care for current and former members of our country’s armed forces; an arts community that supports visual, performing and cultural arts programs for young and old; a business community that continues to grow and thrive including retail, banking, financial services, hospitality and tourism and camping; a strong commitment to education with Schreiner University and state-recognized public school districts and much more.

The Chamber of Commerce recognizes that a strong arts community is another tool in helping bring people and businesses to the community. The Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce is the voice for business in our community, and works tirelessly as an advocate for our members’ interests. The Chamber of Commerce, through its Education Committee, hosts a Job Shadowing Day each February that pairs high school students with businesses in the community, so they can see and learn about careers. Helping our young people (and future business owners and leaders) chart a course for their future is another important way the Chamber of Commerce is involved in our community.
