The Kitsap Harbor Festival is the opening of the summer boating season and the Marina fills up with boaters, historic ships such as the Historic ships: Tug Comanche and Turner Joy in Bremerton. The festival draws boaters and visitors from outlying communities to partake in the various activities.
Many activities will take place along the waterfront marina of Bremerton beginning on Saturday and going through Sunday.
This festival was started by the Port of Bremerton after the very successful Bremerton Marina Grand Opening Event in May 2008. The marina now boasts 221 permanent spaces with room for 80-100 visiting boaters. The Port of Bremerton continues to financially support the festival with marketing funding as does the City of Bremerton through their lodging tax allocations.
Each year the festival grows with additional sponsored events. There is surely something that will interest everyone from Pirate Storytime to touring the Turner Joy. There is entertainment for everyone, vendors to experience or you can rest in the Beer Garden enjoying the beautiful marina view.
