About Our Council
Council 8230 was founded on November 24,1982 through the efforts of the Men of the Catholic Chapel at Kirtland AFB. It is named after Fr. Reynaldo J. Rivera, OFM, who was a Francisican priest working at the cathredral in Sante Fe. Council 8230 works closely with Our Lady of the Sandias Catholic Chapel Community on Kirtland AFB, providing charitable funding for various projects in the chapel and the surrounding community.
