The Dr. Gilbert Ortiz council was founded in 2004. In 2005 Our council was awarded the McGivney Award and the Founders Award. It was named after Dr. Gil because he served as a excellent example for all Knights in his service to his family, church, and community. Members of this council provide a lasting tribute to this great man by working closely with St. Timothy Parish in Lutz, Florida.
