La Novella Baroque is a period vocal and instrumental ensemble specializing in chamber music from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, bringing together musicians who are leaders in the field of early music for world class performances.

With a strong commitment to scholarship and high quality performance, La Novella Baroque introduces it's audiences to the lesser known composers of the baroque era in addition to performing audience favorites by J.S. Bach, Vivaldi, Telemann, and Handel.

Founded in 2004 by harpsichordist and Artistic Director Brad Bennight, the ensemble was orginally conceived as a full baroque orchestra seeking to include many of the talented students and alumni involved in early music at the University of North Texas.  Over time La Novella Baroque has been trimmed to smaller forces in order to explore the rich and varied chamber repertoire of the baroque period.
