About Us:
The Lake Hiawatha library was established in 1937 but has occupied the present site since 1968. In 1994 the interior was renovated and expanded so that the library branch could better meet the needs of its neighborhood service area. The branch is located one block in from the busy business area of North Beverwyck Road, in close proximity to the Skate Park and community center, and is in walking distance for many of the residents of the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany. Besides providing the traditional library resources, the branch offers many story times and after school and Saturday programs for children. The Branch staff cooperate with the Friends of the library group to sponsor a film discussion series moderated by a college professor.
