The Ebensburg Church began in the summer of 1939, when weekly cottage prayer meetings were held by the Nanty Glo pastor, Rev. Peter Tucker. In July of 1940, following a tent revival, Dist. Supt. O. L. Benedum, organized the Ebensburg Church of the Nazarene with 34 charter members.
On July 20, 1980, ground was broken on the new site. The building was finished in 1981 and the first service in the new building was on June 28, 1981. After 40 years in its "temporary" location, the church finally had a permanent home. In 1992 the mortgage was burned, 9 years early. Since erection of the building, there have been two additions, one in 1998 and one in 2005 to make room for the growth of the church.
