About
The Landmark Approach
Landmark is a coeducational day and residential school for students in grades 2–12 diagnosed with a language-based learning disability (LBLD), such as dyslexia. Our unique, individualized approach empowers students to reach their academic and social potential. Each faculty member is highly trained and specializes in educating students with LBLD.
Landmark is located 30 miles north of Boston, MA. Students come from around New England, the United States, and the world to learn innovative ways to understand and overcome their learning differences.
Visionary Charles “Chad” Drake founded Landmark in 1971 to educate students whose reading, writing, spelling, and math skills did not match their superior thinking and problem-solving capacities. Since then, Landmark has been the leader in the field of language-based learning disabilities.
Landmark is not appropriate for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (including Asperger's Disorder and/or ASD), Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, Pervasive Development Delay (PDD), or primary social-emotional disorder.
