Mission:
Lasdon Park, Arboretum & Veteran Museum is a passive use park that serves as the horticultural focal point for Westchester County. Our mission is to advance the knowledge and appreciation of trees and plants, offer public programs related to horticulture, conservation and the arts. We also are the home of the Westchester County Veterans Museum and Trail of Honor, where we honor all our veterans who served this nation.
This 234-acre Westchester County park offers beautiful collections of trees, plants and flowers set among gardens and trails that is open year round and free of charge. During the summer we offer a concert series featuring the Ridgefield Symphony Orchestra in July along with live jazz on fridays. Garden tours are offered along with a number of free lectures and horticultural shows. Antique shows are presented on Memorial Day and Labor Day.
Throughout the year we offer Botanical art classes and the stunning Trail of Honor traverses the various memorials honoring our veterans. In winter the trails and fields are accessable for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Our Garden Shop is open wednesday through sunday from April through December, offering plants and gift items for sale.
