1846  A few individuals established a local fellowship of believers in Chelsea, Alabama, and became known as Liberty Baptist Church. These believers continued to partner with God in His kingdom work and Liberty Baptist Church was among the first ten originating churches of the Shelby Baptist Association in 1852.
