Mission
We believe every student has the right to a foundational music education. We believe music to be one of the most basic forms of communication and strive to stir the emotions and creative energy of our students.

We believe the LHS Music Department prepares students for the outside world by teaching them cooperative approaches to problem solving, an unrelenting drive for excellence, leadership, reliability, time management, self-control, Initiative, dependability, and courtesy.

We offer over 18 different performing ensembles plus solo and small group opportunities. Our program grades 9-12 has a student population of over 300 students.
