The Margaret Surles campus is located on a six-acre site on Highway 883-1 in East Carroll Parish, adjoining the boundary of the City of Lake Providence. The campus is 16 miles from the Arkansas border and one mile from the Mississippi River. The campus was originally established by Act 208 and Act 209 of the 1973 Louisiana Legislature and the first classes were held in 1977. The six-acre campus has 27,076 square feet of instructional, laboratory, shop, and administrative space.
The campus offers associate degrees and/or diplomas and Industry-Based Credential (IBCs) in accounting, office systems, information communication technology (ICT), medical office assistant, practical nursing, and welding. The campus has two video-conferencing rooms, a technologically advanced welding lab and shop area, and wireless Internet access. The campus serves as a Prometric Testing Center for ICT certifications.
