Parkfest started in 1990 to celebrate renaming the park to "Travis Fitzgerald Memorial Park" Since, it has become an annual event serving not only as a fundraiser for the Park Board and Lyndon Knights Snowmobile Club but also as a summer reunion of many area friends and families.

The Celebration kicks off with "Friday Night Lights", the summer league exhibition, and wraps up Saturday night with the best fireworks display in the area.  Friday evening you can catch a softball game or two, watch the garden tractor pulls or just kick back and listen to the Music by Sound FX!  Saturday the softball continues, LOD cornhole tournament begins and the Parade starts @ 2pm followed by the Fire Department water fights on the main drag downtown. The Kids Zone with bounce house,  slide and train rides will be open Fri night and all day Saturday.  There is a beer tent and concessions both Friday and Saturday.
